Good Readin'

I love books but have very little time to devote to reading them. So, when a good quick read comes along I'm all over it! This "quicky" by Marty Kelley (a local guy with an interesting sense of humor and talent with the pen and paint brush), has made #1 on my chart of favorite books of the summer! The fact that it was the only book I read all summer is surely irrelevant. It was a grin from cover to cover. It was also a real hit with my "almost 8" year old niece, Little Roo. I give this story two thumbs way up and highly recommend you find a copy for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

I went to Marty's book signing in Concord where a large group of mostly smallish humans and myself were treated to a live story reading. Along with the books I also went home with a way-cool poster of the cover art, which I'm going to frame (one of these days), and hang in a distinguished place on my bathroom wall.
